Pacifica Cocoa Nudes or ColourPop Fallen? Choose by the Looks You Repeat

A neutral ten-pan palette and a more varied fifteen-pan palette ask different things of your makeup habits. This seasonal comparison uses exact existing catalog references with separate retailer photographs, clear finish and shade notes, and the practical drawbacks that help narrow a shopping decision.

How we chose these pieces

HOW WE COMPARED

Existing catalog records were checked against selected retailer references, current USD prices, variant details and real product photography. Existing ShopMy destinations were checked. This is an editorial comparison of formats, colors and intended roles; manufacturer benefits are not independent Shopfest test results.

Start with the decision

A palette is a small wardrobe of colors, and unused pans count as unused purchases. Before comparing the price or the number of shades, name three looks you would make repeatedly. If the answers are all variations on brown, a compact neutral arrangement may be enough. If you want olive, violet or blue as well, the broader color story has a clearer purpose.

Choose the practical route

Compare the arrangement of matte and reflective finishes, not just the most attractive shade in the photograph. One appealing metallic does not guarantee that the surrounding pans will earn space in your drawer. Think about which shade would define the lash line, which would soften its edge and which would provide the optional highlight. Those jobs help explain whether the palette is complete for you.

Compare the complete look

The two palettes are independent alternatives, not a tested dupe pair. We have not measured blendability, fallout or wear time side by side. The lower price is useful information, but it cannot establish better value without knowing how much of the selection you will use. Likewise, a larger shade count is not evidence that the formula is better.

Make the purchase earn its place

Use the pencil reference only if a separate liner would make your usual eye easier. It is not required to complete either palette. If you already own a suitable brown pencil, keep it in the comparison and spend on the missing color role instead. A palette decision becomes simpler when you treat existing makeup as part of the kit rather than starting from zero.

Read the palettes by jobs, not pan count

Pacifica Cocoa Nudes costs $18 for ten pans within a brown-neutral story, including both matte and reflective choices. ColourPop Fallen costs $23 for fifteen pans with additional olive, blue and violet directions. The $35 Cocoa pencil is a separate definition tool, not an extra shade that makes either palette more complete. In a repeat-look comparison, give each planned look a base, a defining color and an optional accent. Then check whether the extra colors in Fallen actually supply a job your current makeup cannot do. Unused variety is still unused makeup.

Map three looks onto the pans

Before checkout, identify the actual pans you would use for three repeated looks. Leave any unused colors out of your value calculation. If the palette mainly duplicates shades you already own, save it for later. If one missing finish is the attraction, compare whether buying an entire palette is the most useful route.

THE SHOPFEST DECISION

What we would choose—and why.

A neutral ten-pan palette and a more varied fifteen-pan palette ask different things of your makeup habits. Start with the product you already own for that job. Buy one missing role only after checking the selected variant, current price and the complete look in your own lighting; there is no reason to purchase every item in this edit.
