Heaven Mayhem Capri Earrings: Swirls, Knots or Gold Hoops?

A sculptural gold earring can do the work of several accessories. Here is how Heaven Mayhem’s Capri compares with a smaller knot, a fine circular hoop and a chunkier statement hoop.

How we chose these pieces

HOW WE COMPARED

Research-based comparison of the brands’ product specifications, listed US prices, dimensions, materials and product photography. Recommendations reflect editorial judgment, not hands-on wear testing. Stock and dispatch dates must be confirmed for the selected variant.

An independent editorial selection for comparing design, intended use and value. This is not a sales ranking or a claim of internet-wide popularity.

Our editorial standard →
Choose the shape before the statement

Start with the clothes that will frame the earring. A plain crew-neck knit gives a sculptural stud room to read, while a high collar, printed scarf or elaborate neckline already carries visual information. We would try one focal accessory rather than buy a matching stack at the same time. Our four choices cover different jobs: Capri gives a swirling surface, Baby Knot a compact twist, Icon a thinner circle and Gemma a broader hoop. None is an automatic upgrade over the others; they simply change the amount and kind of detail near your face.

Capri and Baby Knot: two kinds of sculpture

The $100 Gold Capri has a swirling face, with 18K gold-plated stainless steel listed by Heaven Mayhem. The page gives dimensions of 0.62 by 0.99 inches and a 7-gram weight, without clarifying whether that is per earring or pair. Baby Knot costs $85 and uses a smaller twisted shape with hollow construction and PVD-plated stainless steel. We would favor Capri with a spare outfit and Baby Knot when the twist is the detail you want. Both product pages displayed mixed stock messages, so confirm the chosen finish before checkout.

Icon or Gemma: a hoop changes the balance

Jenny Bird’s $118 Icon Hoops in Small offer a fine, full-circle outline rather than a filled-in sculptural face. The brand lists gold-plated steel and a tension closure, with a single-earring weight of 2.4 grams. Gemma is the chunkier, more emphatic option at $168, in gold-dipped brass with supportive backings. Its listed single-earring weight, including backing, is 10.4 grams. That is a reason to consider weight tolerance carefully; the hollow construction does not make the two hoops equivalent in scale or feel.

Before you buy another gold pair

Look at your existing earrings from the front and side. If you already own substantial hoops, a new pair with nearly the same profile may add less to your wardrobe than Capri’s swirl or a fine Icon circle. If every statement pair sits unworn, check whether the issue is size, fastening or the sensation of weight. Product photographs can show shape but cannot answer those fit questions. Confirm current exchange or return conditions for earrings, keep the original packaging and read the finish-specific care guidance before choosing a gift or an everyday pair.

THE SHOPFEST DECISION

What we would choose—and why.

Choose Capri if the swirl is what you want your outfit to feature. Baby Knot is the lower-priced compact sculpture; Icon is our first comparison for a finer hoop profile. Gemma delivers the broadest hoop statement, with a listed weight that warrants extra thought. We would choose by shape, fastening and personal weight tolerance before adding more matching jewelry.
