THE SHOPFEST TAKE

Start with what matters to you.

Choose RingConn Gen 2 Air for the lowest upfront cost in this shortlist. Step up to RingConn Gen 3 for its included portable case and supported vibration reminders. Oura Ring 5 suits someone comfortable paying for membership to use its fuller app experience. Ultrahuman Ring PRO belongs on the shortlist if claimed battery endurance matters enough to justify the higher device price. Samsung is an Android-only consideration; its unresolved price and availability keep it outside our shopping shortlist.

THE DETAIL / 01

The subscription changes the budget

Oura Ring 5 Silver is listed at $399. Full membership is $5.99 per month or $69.99 per year in the US, with one included month for new members. On the monthly plan, device plus membership comes to $464.89 over the first 12 months and $536.77 over the first 24 months. A different finish can increase the device price. Without membership, the available app experience is limited.

RingConn Gen 2 Air, RingConn Gen 3 and Ultrahuman Ring PRO have no required subscription for core access. That does not mean every extra is free: Ultrahuman offers optional paid PowerPlugs and UltrahumanX protection. The PRO buy page lists optional Max protection at $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year. Exclude those only if you do not select them.

THE DETAIL / 02

Battery life: compare the charging routine

Oura lists 6–9 days for Ring 5. RingConn lists up to 10 days for Gen 2 Air; Gen 3 lists 10–12 days with vibration enabled and 11–14 without. Ultrahuman describes about 12 days in Turbo mode and 15+ days in Chill mode for Ring PRO. These are manufacturer claims, not directly comparable Shopfest measurements. Size, settings and use can change the outcome.

The included charger matters too. Gen 2 Air has a dock. Gen 3 and Ring PRO include portable charging cases. Oura includes a standard charger, with a charging case sold separately. A case’s reserve capacity is not the same as continuous battery life on your finger.

THE DETAIL / 03

Check your phone before the finish

Oura, RingConn and Ultrahuman offer iPhone and Android apps, but minimum system requirements vary. RingConn Gen 3 specifies iOS 17 or later and Android 10 or later. Check the current app requirements for the exact model before ordering, especially if your phone is older.

Samsung Galaxy Ring requires Android 11 or later with at least 1.5 GB of memory under its published specifications. Some features require a compatible Galaxy phone. It is not an iPhone option. A brand name alone is not enough to establish that every feature will work with your phone.

THE DETAIL / 04

Where Samsung Galaxy Ring fits

Galaxy Ring is worth considering if you already use a compatible Samsung phone and want to stay within that ecosystem. Samsung’s battery guidance states up to six days for sizes 5–11 and up to seven for sizes 12–15. The charging case is part of the product proposition; compare it with the exact model bundle you intend to buy.

We found a $399.99 listing on the US shop and a different “from” price on Samsung’s landing page. The exact Titanium Silver size 8 listing showed unavailable stock. We have therefore left Samsung out of the priced shopping cards rather than treating an unresolved starting price as a verified offer. The official shop reference is in Sources; confirm your size, price and delivery before deciding.

THE DETAIL / 05

Fit, feature limits and everyday expectations

Use the sizing kit for the exact brand and generation. A ring size from one model does not establish the fit of another, and a finish photograph tells you little about overnight comfort. Check return terms and size exchange rules before placing the final order.

Do not buy a roadmap. Ultrahuman’s Ring PRO FAQ describes SpO2 as in development, so it is not included in our available-feature assessment. RingConn Gen 3 vibration supports specified health and reminder functions, not general phone message notifications or alarms.

We have not tested sleep staging, sensor accuracy, skin comfort or workout performance. Treat wellness estimates as information to interpret alongside how you feel, not as a diagnosis. Before connecting an app, review permissions and the brand’s data export and deletion options.

How we researched this comparison

We compared official US manufacturer product pages, published specifications, membership terms, selected finishes, product photography and available variant data. This is a researched buying guide, not a hands-on or clinical test. Recommendations reflect editorial judgment about documented tradeoffs; no product score, accuracy ranking or popularity metric is assigned.

Prices are snapshots and battery figures are manufacturer claims under different conditions. They are not results from a shared test. We used the supplied Lifewire URL as topic inspiration; its article text was not accessible, so we do not attribute its recommendations or testing to this edit.
